Default commissions done by concept artist / illustrator (various prices)

hi i'm a freelance illustrator working in games and rpg books industry (work done for example for Vajra ent., Zoo Publishing, 2D Artist Magazine, Balistic Publishing etc.).

GW happens to be my hobby, but the amount of work doesn't allow me to earn money in game, as it's just too much time consuming and i could use some gold for skills and other stuff there..

so i thought i could start drawing commissions here, as i'm doodling in my free time anyway and now i could draw with some better purpose.

you can check my portfolio at: http://vinegaria.com or at http://vinegar.deviantart.com

i can work in various styles:

my usual workflow starts from pencil sketch which i scan and colour in photoshop and painter with my trusty wacom tablet, see sample below. i never use any photos or screenshots in my work.

i tried to adjust prices for all people according to the complexity of the picture. here's the basic pricing:

you just need to specify which type would you like and in what style and within a week i'll show you a small preview. after i'll get money in game (any campaign is fine), i'll post the picture here (unless you don't want of course, but i reserve the right to show it in my portfolio anyway) and will send you a high-res (300dpi) version suitable for print.

i hope you won't let me starve or get killed!

contact me via e-mail for details: (it's a picture to prevent spam).

That artwork looks amazing. Although I'm kinda confused what's the difference between "bust pencil sketch" and "pencil bust sketch" @,@

thanks guys!

as for the "bust" one confusion it's my bad >_< i meant one to be bust and second to be half figure, hope the sample shows it anyway. i might try to switch the pic later to clear that..

Very impressive work, indeed. Like Martian, I'm tight-fisted at this time since I'm saving up for equipping my characters in Nightfall. However, you'll do really well here.

Will you require a screenshot of our character, or just a description of what we would want?

hi guys thanks for your huge response, i'm starting working on pictures right away and will answer your emails in a minute.

as for your questions - an ideal situation would be sending me an e-mail with a screenshot and description of what you want, because with that i can start working on a picture right away

hi a small update from me.

i decided to close the first round right now as the list contains about 21 commissions already and i'd like to finish them all before christmas.

there are also people on the list who didn't reply to me yet with sample screenshots or who only pm'd me at forums - to those, please, send me an e-mail, i added you to the list, but i need to be in touch with you and it's easier for me to keep track of thing via mail than pm's at two forums.

if you still want to commission me - go ahead and mail me (mail is shown in the first post), some people on my list still didn't reply me with screenshots and if they won't i'll switch them with you on my list.

also - i had to slightly change the prices (the pricing picture is updated), only of few types, not all (3 middle to be percise) as i found out it takes me much more time to finish them and i don't want to draw crap for you.. BUT for those of you that already commissioned me the prices of course stay as they were (for example those who commissioned pencil sketch for 15k will get it for 15k even though the next ones like this will be charged 20k).

i also added to my list people who ordered more than one picture, although your second is going to be further on the list than your first (it's to you Nkah, Dana, Andreas) but in the old price of course as you ordered it already

i'll post some finished ones here soon (finishing the third already) so please subscribe to this thread if you want to know what's on

hello again

long time without an update here, but as some of you know i had to fix my computer..

anyway, another 3 commissions are done and accepted so i can show them to you now.. i'm only going to show 2 now though (one with a close-up at 100% size of the original), because one is going to be a christmas gift and i'm not sure if a person who's gonna get it reads those forums or not, sorry ^^''

i gotta say i'm really happy everybody who ordered one were happy with them (or so they claimed )

big thanks to Laura, Josefine and Jan!

i hope you'll like them too

as for other news - i removed from my list people who never contacted me in any other place than forums, sorry, it's been a month and if you never contacted me again (and i replied to every pm asking for mailing me) i assume you resigned. if not - just drop me an e-mail and i'll put you back on the list, but to the further place.
